The Anzac Day Silver 15 day Tour:

22nd April - Day 1 - Istanbul
Arrival Day. Airport transfer (one way only).
note; Last transfer up to 23.00 hr (last flight from London of Turkish airways)
Time PM -
Departure for the Antil disco at 1930hrs to get groups there by 2000hrs.
Departure back to hotels – 0030hrs. Antil is a disco night – Hotel DJ and belly dancers.

23rd April - Day 2 - Istanbul
Time AM - Full sightseeing day. Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque
Break at Topkapi Palace Gardens, then lunch in the area of Sultanahmet-from 1200-1345hrs.
PM-Return from lunch by 1400hrs. Depart for the Grand Bazaar free time and shopping. – Meet at a given point, and depart for Eminonu for Bosphorus Cruise. Cruise duration – 90mins. Cruise boats – max. pax –200 Return to hotel after cruise.
Departure for antil for 2nd group*1930hrs to get groups there by 2000hrs.
Departure back to hotels – 0030hrs.

Saturday 24th April - Day 3 - Istanbul to Gallipoli Peninsular
AM- Breakfast at 0630hrs, departure from Istanbul no exceptions at 0730hrs.
Arrival on the Gallipoli Peninsular, designated rest stops for toilets, hypermarket purchases.
PM-Guided sightseeing of the Gallipoli Peninsular by fully licensed english speaking guides only.
Pax will be able to stop and explore at every point visited, highlights include
1. Chunuk Bair,
2. Lone Pine,
3. Johnson Jolly trenches,
4. Baby 900-
5. all the main trenches and the monument for the 57th Regiment,
6. Jonnie and Mehmet statue.
7. Kabatepe War Museum.

Pax will be provided with Commonwealth War Graves Commission sheets, Kangaroo Marines transcript (to be supplied to pax when they leave for Gallipoli).

BBQ at 2000-2230hrs. BBQ will comprise – chicken, kofta kebabs, salads, breads. Extras-water. Soft drinks and beer can be purchased at reasonable prices. Departure for Dawn Service site at 2230-2300hrs.

Please pack warm clothing bring a sleeping bag, ground sheet, small torch and umbrella, or waterproofs and don't forget your camera .Suggestion this should all be packed in a day pack, as all luggage will be locked in the coach hold.

Sunday 25th April - Day 4 - ANZAC DAY – Gallipoli Peninsular – Ayvalik via Troy
AM -Dawn Service at 0530hrs. VIPs arrive at 0430-0500hrs. Bugle call at 0530hrs, services last until 0630hrs approx. From here, walk to Lone Pine for National Australia service which commences at around 1130-1145hrs approx. and finishes approx 1 hour later. Memorials en route. Chunuk Bair National New Zealand Service commences at approx 1230 or 1330hrs. This service will be approx. 1 hour. ( Nzers must continue uphill to get to Chunuk Bair on time) New Zealanders must return to Lone Pine downhill to meet with the coaches.
Departure from Lone Pine is prompt at 1530hrs.
Travel from here to Eceabat for ferry crossing to Cannakale, then straight to Troy. Departure from Troy onwards to Ayvalik.
PM-Arrive Ayvalik for buffet dinner. Drinks available for purchase.

Monday 26th April - Day 5 - Ayvalik – Kusadasi via Pergamum
AM - Depart Ayvalik at around 0900hrs for Pergamum. (2.5 hours).Guided tour of the site. Departure for Kusadasi(3.5 hours)
PM-Arrive-Kusadasi early evening. Later-buffet dinner(possibly a beach buffet). Drinks available for purchase.

Tuesday 27th April - Day 6 - Kusadasi – Pamukalle via tour of Ephesus
AM - Depart Kusadasi for Ephesus at around 0900hrs. Fully guided tour of the site. Then onwards to Pamukalle via Selcuk(2.5 hours)(for lunch stop).
En route, visit a leather factory-max. visit time 1 hour 15mins.
PM - Arrive Pamukalle at around late afternoon, then Cotton Castles and Hierapolis tour, evening buffet dinner. Drinks available for purchase.

Weds 28th April - Day 7 - Pamukkale - Koycegiz
After Pamukkale, we continue to lakeside Koycegiz, in a region famed for its liquid amber trees, source of the precious petrified amber gum.

Thur 29th April - Day 8 - Koyceyiz
A day of leisure. chill-out on a lake cruise excursion to the revitalising thermal mud baths or neighbouring Turtle Beach - excellent for swimming and spotting the loggerhead turtle. Do also try the local olives and honey whilst in Koycegiz.

Friday 30th April - Day 9 - Koyceyiz - Fethiye
To coastal Fethiye. Relax, swim, paraglide from a height of 1969m, sail to Butterfly Valley or just chill out in the bars and cafes.

Sat 1st May - Day 10 - Fethiye - Side
Enjoy an invigorating dip at Saklikent Gorge, a natural wonder of breathtaking beauty before trekking to the famed Saklikent River Bar. On to the coastal town of Side. In 42 BC, Antony and Cleopatra met here for a romantic tryst!

Sun 2nd May - Day 11 - Side – Cappadocia via Konya
To Manavgat Falls, then we head inland. On the fringe of Central Anatolia lies Konya, one of the oldest occupied cities in the world. We then head northeast to the jewel in Turkey's crown-Cappadocia.

Mon 3rd May- Day 12 - Cappadocia
Whole troglodyte villages, underground churches and fortresses have been hewn from the soft, eerily eroded volcanic rock of Cappadocia. The crumbling legacy of persecuted Christians escaping Muslim onslaught in 1st to 10th centuries AD is one of Turkey's finest attractions. A guided tour of the region includes Göreme Valley and Zelve with its phallic-like eroded landscape of so-called 'fairy chimneys' and Devrent Valley.

Tue 4th May - Day 13 - Cappadocia - Ankara
Visit Derinkuyu Underground City, a troglodyte city of immense proportion before heading to Ankara, the nation's capital established in 1923 by Ataturk.

Weds 5th May - Day 14 - Ankara - istanbul
The Mausoleum of Ataturk is our first stop. The great Leader's tomb with its huge bronze doors is gargantuan and a reflection of the esteem in which he is held. Heading back to Istanbul, arrive late afternoon. Remainder of the day free.
